Dear All,

be aware of low quality coax cables which are available on the market ... outside dimension almost the same to MIL but then the problems starts ... the core is not what is should be! - The core isolation is any foam (NOT PE) and so on ...
Sometimes the shield is only perfekt at the beginning and at the end of a coil, in between it could happened that the shield turns out into a wide mesh ""shield"".

With connector it is the same thing  SO-239 are plenty of Chinease Copies available which melt during soldering .... maybe you should think about the have everything in N Norm .... there it is a little bit better ....

Be aware and check it carefully what you plan to buy ...

Hi all,
Swen, the guy in Sri Racha has Canadian RG8 at 70 baht per metre, not sure if this is cheap or not but the quality seems reasonable at first glance, I'll let you know how it performs once I get my station set up.

73's for now,
Dave

PS: I forgot to say that PL259's are 50 baht each in the Sri Racha shop whereas they are 30 baht each in the Antenna shop here in Pattaya on Thepprasit road (the quality isn't as good though, I think the ones from Thepprasit are made in china).

Hello,

I just bought some so called RG58 here in Phuket, and to be honest i dont think it could take 50w, very thin and hardly no braid!

Managed to find some RG214, a little over the top for HF but good quaility.

All,
Any one know where to purchase plastic/nonmetalic hex head wrench (allen wrench) with a 1.5 mm head for aligning a TS 520.
Regards,
Thomas
