A friend wants to buy a house in such a location. Have you seen something suitable outside Bangkok or elsewhere in HS? Please drop me a line and I'll call you. Both, purchase or lease would be okay.

Hi Chris, well of course you know all about non Thai cannot own land so assuming you have that resolved the options are limitless, the whole country is for sale. For the best HF experience you need to be out in the sticks to get away from the ferocious noise the costs will be high. Seems the guys up north do well, it's quieter, higher and the more northern latitude helps a bit. TIT if you have the money you can get just what you want.

TNX, Khun Martin - I've obtained the green light for this and am going to start looking in the North near Chiang Mai. There would be a path for a low take off angle towards NW. I always wanted to have a huge wire yagi... A 26.5 m vertical would also perform nicely as it is resonant on 160 / 80 / 40
The German Army has nice mobile antennas good for 25 m, with built in generator and a large 24 V battery. Hope it fits into a container. Q: this would require a mobile license?
