I live in Hawaii and Idaho every summer and totally enjoy the 6 and 10 meter E skip that happens from about May 15-August 15....very wild sometimes. It's possible and not unusual to work 30 or so states and maybe 10 countries with 10 watts and a tiny vertical antenna on 6 meters and even more countries on 10 with the same low power and small antenna. Yes, no 6 meters in Thailand but what about 10 meter E-skip from Thailand ?  Thanks,  Jim   HS0ZHZ/KH6JIM

Aloha Paul....thank you for your information ! I would really enjoy talking with you more about this. I also enjoy TV DX. When did you talk to KH6 land ? I am in Hawaii every month for a couple of weeks for my work and in the sporadic-E season I keep a 10 and 6 radio on 24/7. I have worked several JA's on both 10 and 6 with only 5 watts and a Par end fed very portable antenna connected to my Yaesu FT-817. Actually I really do not like QRP low power but sometimes thats all I have with me. In Thailand I live in a very high floor condo in BKK and a bamboo pole sticking out the window with a 100 watts....I will now listen on 10 meters.   73...Jim HS0ZHZ    kh6jim@yahoo.com

Hello,

10M in Phuket is also good to use.

As Paul said its mainly Asia/VK and I also work several HS Stations in BBK Area, also worked EU but not to good signals yet, this should improve in the next few years!

Can hear W Malaysia most days as close as 150kms! with 5/9.
