Life is too short for QRP!!

« on: August 15, 2008, 03:06:26 AM »

High folks,
are there any interests or already activities in Meteorscatter FSK441 (WSJT) in Thailand?
10 Watts and a small yagi is enough for 1000km on 144 MHz!!!
If somebody is interested in, please let me know!
Want to operate in EME and MS next year from OK16BN and hope to find some stations for testing on 2m!!

Are you doing MS now in DL? I have never tried it but once had a ~3000 km (California to Minnesota) QSO on 2m sporadic E mode which is also doable QRP. Es is more fun on 6m (and can be rarely even on 10m) but oh well TIT.

Can anyone tell us what nearby countries are active on 2m?

Hello Karsten,

I think I'm the one you seeking for. I'm setting up 2m EME in Bangkok next year.
Hope I can QRV before April 2009. Config will be 4x9 DJ9BV.
I'm so sorry the missing you in Bangkok this year.A lot busy with my job.

High folks,
thanks for the replies to my answer!  Grin
So i think that i won`t have any problems to find some interested
partners for Weak signal communication in Thailand next year!

HS0ZIA:  Yes Bob, i am active in weak signal communication (EME and Meteorscatter)
on 144MHz since 25 years and hope to work and exchange experiences
             with you next year!

HS0ZFZ:  High Swen, yes, between Khon Kaen and Bangkok won`t have any problems
              in MS procedure!

HS0ZIN:  High Paul, hope to work you down in Pattaya next year! Good idea with the
HF talkback! Perhaps on Echolink or ON4KST logger too?? ON4KST is not only
             for Europe!!

HS2JFW: High khun Joe! Thanks for your reply! Yes, indeed it was a pity that we didn`t meet us
during the RAST meeting in April!
I hope that we will get in contact next year! I will be in Thailand several short times until
my planned holiday end of next year. So perhaps we will have the chance to meet us!
4X9 ele DJ9BV sounds very good and you will hear many stations in JT65B or CW!
It is a pity that DJ9BV passed away in spring this year! I knew him very good!
i am building always DK7ZB antennas. Yesterday i finished 4x16ele for 70cm! my 4x12 ele
are doing a good job! Since i built them up in June i managed more than 150 QSO`s via
             the moon.
Khun Winnit, HS1CKC, showed me some photos of your EME-Antenna. The audio stream on
your website with KB8RQ is also very nice!
I will build 2x10ele DK7ZB for the beginning beside my house near Khon Kaen in OK16BN!
Hope to work you from Germany after you build up the array next year!!

For further contacts i am reachable on SKYPE. Only search "dl2lah" and you can add me to your contacts!!!

vy 73 and hear you on VHF, Karsten,DL2LAH/HS0ZIL
